process is a one-in-ten-year opportunity to influence how we
manage land use and subdivision in the District.
Have your say on the District Plan
In 2016, we launched a community engagement project called Let’s Plan Together as the first step in a review of our District Plan. In 2018 we released the Draft District Plan and invited communities to give their feedback. You can read a summary of feedback.
Your feedback will be used to inform zone maps and rules for the Proposed District Plan, which will be notified mid 2020. At this point there will be an opportunity for you to make a formal submission.
Explore these maps to help you understand the current zoning, and how matters such as heritage or hazards may affect an area. This will help you understand how the Draft District Plan might affect you, and any area or property you have an interest in.
