Let’s plan together!

Do you care about the environment and how the district is developed?
Then join us in creating the new District Plan! The District Plan review
process is a one-in-ten-year opportunity to influence how we

manage land use and subdivision in the District.

Draft District Plan Feedback Period: 22 October – 17 December 2018

Have your say on the District Plan

In 2016, we launched a community engagement project called Let’s Plan Together as the first step in a review of our District Plan. We now have a Draft District Plan and want to know what you think about our policy framework and rule directions.

Your feedback will help to create the zone maps and rules in the new District Plan. We will invite formal submissions on the Proposed District Plan, which will incorporate the new national planning standards, in late 2019.

Explore these maps to help you understand the current zoning, and how matters such as heritage or hazards may affect an area. This will help you understand how the Draft District Plan might affect you, and any area or property you have an interest in.

Let’s get the right activities happening in the right places.
The review of the District Plan is an opportunity to influence how the Council controls land use and subdivision in the District, so make sure you have your say.
